I have a friend that is wanting to put in for the draw as well. Do yall think that its better off(odds) that we we send seperate applications in?

It depends which one of you have the most bonus points. lol

Generally, single applicants have a better chance of drawing a tag.....especially on extremely limited hunts. By rule, if there is one tag left during the draw process and your number is drawn you will not be awarded the tag if you have someone else on the application with you.

I got thinking that you may not realize that many of the southern units are somewhat dangerous to hunt and are easy to draw. If you can deal with the criminal activity you may want to hunt one of them. I don't go near them because my wife hunts with me but some of friends have great sucess in them, especially for whitetails. Check the regulations for draw success rates.

Mostly illegals crossing the border and drugs crossing the border. You need to leave someone at your camp or your vehicle or camp may not be there when you come back. The drug dealers may shoot at you from what I heard. My friend Kim was warned by the Game Officer to park the vehicle as close to the main road as possible so they could check on them from time to time and hunt in pairs.

See, thats the beauty of living in the U.S.A. We have the option to tote 'Sweet Lips' with us pretty much where ever we go. As far as the southern region goes;I'm not too familiar with those units. I lived up north for a while and have friends that know the areas like the back of their hands, so I'm kinda depending on them.I couldn't get in touch with them the other day and was about to mail off the application. Thats why I wanted to ask ya'll.I appreciate the replys and help.Any of ya'll putting in for the northern hunts?

Wish I could.....I drew 13B archery last year, so my BP's are gone (except for loyalty and permanent).....plus I arrowed one in the desert in January, so I can only put in for a deer BP this year. Maybe I'll be back up on the Bab' for archery season next year...
