Huh I haven't had problems like that to speak of. I get a little fowling but nothing horrible. As a matter of fact my rifle loves the load i am shooting right now.

You cant beat the tipped TSX for performance in the field, nothing holds together and drops game any better.

+1
I switched from the 180 Gr. TSX to the 168 Gr. TTSX in 2009. I am thinking it may be impossible to get me to switch to a different bullet now. Between its perfomance on my elk and muley this year to the accuracy I can't convince my self to try anything else.

7mm 150 TTSX is the only bullet that will ever travel down the tube of my 7 Rem Mag Ruger 77 again. It will shoot a ragged little hole @ 100 yds and it is the best performing big game bullet that I have ever loaded. The TTSX and TSX don't foul like the original ones did. I did not have any success with the original non-grooved ones back in th 90's, but these triple shocks are the bomb.

seems like people either love them or hate them...

that $50 club sounds interesting, is it worth it?

Personally since I shoot their bullets I think that the club is a good deal. With the package I got their 4th edition manual, ballistics program, and a hat. I am really enjoying the ballistics program. Plus you have access to all their loading manuals and get to see all the brand new load info. I can see all of the loads they have in their 5th edition load manual so far. So for me the $50 was well worth it.

Have to say that I'm on the barnes tsx and ttsx band wagon. I too had major problems with the origional barnes bullet, but they have made many changes that have solved fouling and accuracy issues. My only issue with the tsx bullets is that according to my programs they don't have the coefficient that barnes claims. With other bullets, I can plug numbers into the formula and drop charts are very close. The barnes consistantly shoot lower than expected. Easy fix for this is to simply shoot the bullets at the ranges you are interested in and make your own drop charts, that's what I've done and many dead animals can't tell you how well they perform. The last was the coyote that I posted last month that recieved a tsx at just over 500yds. The combination of accuracy and terminal performance makes this bullet great for anyone who wants a boom-flop ending to all their big game hunting stories.-------shooter
