I found this once in a lifetime find in the fall of 2007. This mountain caribou had been killed by a grizz. The sheds were found at the killsite. Mountain Caribou are extremely rare in this part of the province and are on the verge of extinction.

The spring of 07 was a very good shed season for me. I finally able to locate a pair of sheds off a buck I had watched in the alpine for 4 out of 5 years. I had nicknamed the buck WideBugger.

Here is his 2004/2005 sheds that I found during the spring of 2007. It was a bitter sweet find as the rodents beat me to the one side. He is between 37-38 inches wide and scores right at 200 inches Typical.

Hey, I know that shaved head dude from the North. :) Nice photos Steve.....I always like looking at mass-n-trash. That was a special buck for sure. Glad you're over here......not near as much "drama" here.
