bcs championship- ruined!

nobodies fault, but when colt mccoy went down, this game is over. and they are in a big enough hole i doubt he will come back in even if he can. talk about bad timing :>/

and again, we will never really know who is the best team in the nation this year

That is a bad way to loose the championship for sure. It kind of ruined the game to watch once he was out.

Tough for sure.

Certainly wasn't a great way to end such a great collegiate career, that's for sure.

I thought the game sucked...especially once Colt was knocked out. The Freshman (Garrett Gilbert) did about as good as you could possibly expect considering the circumstances he was thrust into and I am sure he will be a fine quarterback in the upcoming years. However, the game was all downhill after that hit.

I've got to completely 100% disagree...

It's not like the Texas offense was doing anything special by any stretch when McCoy was in there. Alabama had two major brainfarts that set Texas up for success and could only garner 6 points after being 1st and goal.

The Texas defense kept constant pressure on the 'bama QB, sacking him quite a few times throughout the game.

Gilbert came in and was surely not ready to play...in the first half. He came out in the second half and gave Texas a chance. He also gave them hope for the future.

Seems everyone has forgotten, or maybe didn't even notice, that the Heisman winner sat out about half the game with cramps. Does that mean 'bama should have put a lot more and really made the game a blowout?

The score was 24-21 into the fourth quarter, either team's to win or lose. I really don't think is McCoy was in there it would have made much of a difference.

On top of ALL of that, the Tide played conservative coming out after the half and it almost cost them the game. Texas came out to play the rest of the game and almost got it.

The score at the end of the game doesn't show how close this game really was. I've just got this feeling that IF Colt McCoy hadn't gotten hurt, it would have been a lot worse for Texas than it was.

Just my very humble opinion.

Oh, Alabama help set a record fourth straigh NC by any conference, the SEC has 6 of the 12 NC since the inception of the BCS and we all know the REAL NC was played early last month at the SEC Championship in the Georgia Dome.

Maybe Colt was thinking about that 60,000,000 $ pro contract. :-k

I can't open up to much on this topic or I'll start to get mad and loose sleep over it. Credit to Bama they won. I'm a big Longhorns fan and IMO McCoy could have played if he didn't have the NFL around the corner, (not saying he's the best QB in the draft). If it was up to McCoy he would have played. I think Brown was playing it safe based on what info they had and kept McCoy from the game.

GO SAINTS!!!!
