Big CA Bear (pic)

Had to post a photo of my hunting partner's bear he arrowed this morning in the Southern California mountains. This is a HUGE beast of a boar that should easily make the record book. Congratulations to Brad!

What a monster. I'd be scared to death to stick an arrow in something that size. If he figured out where it came from he would get the last laugh.

Holy cow! That's a huge bear! I'd be a little afraid to be anywhere near that thing... especially walking up to it to make sure it was down haha.

Wow, congrats, that thing is huge.
That would be such a rush to draw on a creature like that, but I make it a point not to hunt any animal that could turn the tables and hunt me in return.

 No skull measurement yet......waiting 60 days before I measure. Not sure on the square foot of him.......just know he was was right at the 400 lb mark.

 Very nice ...... and thats what they look like down in this neck of the woods. I have bumped into a few while out deer hunting down here....... but they were large females with cubs ](*,)all the ones I've seen are kinda cinimon with the white chest just like your buddys. I get a bear tag every year , because one of these years I'm gonna catch one by itself :thumb
Did he have a guide? Its tough to get one with out dogs because were not allowed to bait in CA. good job!

NICE! I bet his heart was racing while he was drawing on that beast. If it was me, all I would be thinking is "Breath, take the shot - heck no, what if he sees me - Breath, take the shot - heck no, what if he sees me...."
