BIG GAME CARTS!?!?

I've been doing research on Big Game Carts to use for Elk. Our terraine is rough and steep. Seem's like Cabela's Carts are cheap and break. I need to find one that can handle Elk in the backcountry and withstand the hills. Anyone have any opinions on Carts?? I've been looking for a good one. Price is not a problem... As long as it works! Thanks!!!

best cart i've ever used was made by "backpack" simple and easy to use, just strap it to the frame, then put both arms through the straps and start hiking.

"it'll put hair on your chest":)
really, i've never used one with wheels, never seen a reason to??

Best thing I've found to bring an elk out of the mountains. Get the biggest one. In the ten years we've been using them we've only had one "break" on us, but we have three in camp.

The country we hunt, which I'm sure is pretty similar to where everyone else hunts, is was to rough to use any kind of cart. These sleds make dragging out a full sized elk easier than trying to get out a medium sized deer without one.

Though, we've never used one to get a deer out for some reason. I'm guessing because we leave the sleds with the trucks and walking all the way back to get a sled for a deer doesn't seem to make sense at the time.

Last year I pulled out my elk by myself using the sled. True, there was about a foot of snow on the ground and it was downhill most of the way with some level spots. Try doing it by yourself without the sled with the same conditions and see how far you get.

No way I could have used any kind of wheeled cart, either.

I bought one from Sportsmans Guide last year, it is well built, it should do what you want.
