Bighorn National Forest Migration

I am new to hunting Mulies, and this year I purchased a leftover tag for Wyoming Region Y, and will be hunting primarily in the Bighorn National Forest.

I am from Minnesota, so in person scouting has been out of the question with work. I have done quite a bit of map scouting and talked with some people about the area. I will get out there a few days before the season kicks off to have a look around and hopefully confirm my plan.

I have heard that the deer in the National forest tend to move to the lower country as soon as snow hits. I am not sure if this is naturally occuring, or if it is based on snow generally coinciding with the opener. If it is hunting preassure I figure I can overcome it with some additonal footwork into some less pressured areas, but if they are moving out of the high country that early I might need to adjust my plan.

Anybody have any ideas for me?
