So up here in Northern Utah theres a golf course called Birch Creek Golf Course... ever heard of it? Well i work there in the summer, well for the last 4 years we have been noticing this buck walking around and last fall just before the archery hunt (by the way the buck was also noticed by every hunter in 10 square miles) me and my buddy were workin the pro shop and as the sun was starting to set the deer was walking right by the proshop with a doe and two babys. So we went outside and stood about 80 yards from it and took pictures. It was a 5x6 and it was probably about on the low side of 30 inches wide. Well about a week into the archery hunt we were on the back nine of the golf course and running up number 13 and through 12 and behind hole 11 runs this gully, well we notice a baby deer so we stop drivin in our golf cart and look and then here comes the Birch Creek Buck, and there in its back left hip were 2 arrows and its right hip another one tagged along. So called animal control and they said let it be, so finally the last day of the archery hunt we found out about the deer had been finally taken out of its misery, and we found out the background of the 3 arrows. Opening day a guy watched the deer walk through his property every moring, and opening day he sat on top of his barn (inside city limits) and plugged an arrow into the deers side, the deer runs off, another guy sees the deer in the cemetary just down the road a few hours later, he sneaks around and plugs another arrow in the thing! Finally the next day another guy thinks he got it when he was driving down the road and saw it cross infront of him so he gets out shoots another arrow in it ON THE GOLF COURSE! but the deer doesnt stop and goes on. With three arrows in it another guy and his wife both have tags and they see the deer in a pasture just above the golf course, so they both set up and the husband shoots and sticks another arrow in its front leg and it runs about a quarter mile and stops right infront of her, she shoots and then sucker tags one more arrow. The deer takes off running through town and they follow it, finally it stops in a yard and the husband walks around the house and shoots its last arrow in the deer and it drops.
I aint makin any of this up, it all really happened. I found out today from the guy whose yard it died in that it is all true, kinda sucks cuz i was mentoring my little brother that hunt and we waited for the deer to head up Birch Canyon like it did every night but other people had to ruin our fun :(

Sounds like some people need to learn how to shoot a bow.

It's sad when people become so consumed they start breaking the laws in town. Enterprise was awful this year on the rifle hunt. I think six deer were killed in town with high power rifles. At least they were more humane than the bow hunters.
