Black Curtain Giants, dreams do come true!

So I thought I'd share this. Since I was a preteen boy. My dream has always been to hunt a "Black Curtain Giant." Or in other words as a child, I remember attending the RMEF expo which is the 80's and 90's equivalent to the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. Every year I would run to the Black Curtains where the Giant Elk were displayed. The Black Curtain signified magic to me, a place where monster bulls were immortalized and the hunters who harvested were listed as a class of modern day hunting gods. That Black Curtain signified a goal and a life long dream for me. The RMEF expo doesn't exist anymore, and the Black Curtain isn't what it used to be. Instead of one wall, outfitters now compete to see who can display the most magnificent animals. But none the less there is a black curtain, and to me it represents hunting pride more than ever. It is the Utah Big Game Records Black Curtain. On this curtain is displayed multiple big game accomplishments for the state of Utah, and for the most part accomplished by do it yourself hunters like me. And this year my 2012 Boulder Bull was requested for that Black Curtain. I've never been honored more. I actually wrote an article in the 2013 fall issue of Trophy Hunter Magazine, called "Black Curtain Giants, and World Record Memories."
