Black Hills Mule Deer

I have been going to western ND for mule deer but am thinking about South Dakota,
black hills area, can anybody tell me if this is a good area or am i better off staying in ND.
Also thought about the powder river breaks in eastern Montana, I live in Michigan so i cant get out there to do any scouting, I am open for any suggestions.

I am from the black hills and if you are looking for good mule deer hunting you would be better off hunting the prairies in south dakota, or the custer national forest near north dakota. There is not much mule deer in the hills unless you went to the southern hills where the jasper fire burned. There is deffinately mule deer there but have to do work to get away from the elk hunting crowd.

Thanks for the info, I think i will look up north as you mentioned or maybe just stick with ND.
