I bow fished all the time until I moved from FL to TX four yrs ago. I used a recurve with a spool taped to it and a fiberglass fishing arrow with a detachable fishing head. OLDSCHOOL. I didn't even pick up a compound until six years ago. Always shot instinktive. They've got all kinda stuff for it now. I've shot mullet, flounder, gar, carp, dolphin (the fish not the mamal), skipjack, sharks and a couple of gaters. The main thing to remember is the light refracks or bends as it enters the water so the fish are not exactly where you see them and most shots not only will you be moveing but your target will be too. Something nobody seems to know that fishes fresh water (even on the outdoor channel) if you put your lights in the water there is no refraction. Most guys that live on the coast and flounder know this and we rig our lights to run under water with 12V bulbs. I don't know if any of this helps but if you have any spec questions I'll do my best. It will improve your shooting and it is a great excuse to stay out all night long as you bring home some fish.

hey guys post up your success photos and comments on how you thought the shoot was.

For me it was some of the most fun Ive had with a bow. The shoot was run by some of the best guys you will meet. I want to say thanks to everyone for making it possible.

guys really all I can say is WOW if you snooze you loose on this one.

I got to ride on my first mud boat and air boat today and think I want one of each. The mud boat defiantly got us on the fish. It was incredible hearing the engine pushing the boat along in a couple of inches of water and throwing mud about a 100 yards behind the boat. what a rush.

this boat was idling and look at the mud fly

The air boat ride was also incredible It sounded like you were in a top fuel drag car when it opened up.

O did I say the carp hunting was the best Ive experienced. I quit counting after 10. I also took my heaviest to date. I didn't weigh it but Id say it was between 13 and 16 lbs.

My daughter ended up taking 3, two from the bank and one from the boat. The one in the boat was probably better then my best one however after turning the boat in a complete circle it eventually broke loose.

Here is a double we lucked into...
