Going bowhunting this weekend, this area has been getting some snow the past week. Wondering what you all think. Will the muleys be moving below 11K, below 10K or staying where they are still?

Which state and how much snow are we talking about? Plus what is the temperature at night. I wouldn't worry about the snow as much as the cold/temperature. If it's freezing there food source, they may move down the mountain. They don't seem to enjoy frozen food. :)

I will be in central colorado. I imagine it will be freezing at night, and mid 30s- 45ish during day with some snow on the ground.

Tough to say, I'd think they'll stay put for right now though.

I think that Muleymadness is right. They will stay where they are until the snow pushes them out because the feed is gone. When we have mild winters around here the deer don't push any farther down the mountians than they have to.

it is still early in the year and still alot of food , shelter and water for the deer at those elevations . they should still be there like muleymadness said .

they will stay there for now. even if it is cold enough to freeze at night the sun will warm things up during the day.

From what I've been hearing on the news, they are calling for some consderable accumilations, but I think they will stay put unless they're getting 1' or more. If that's the case, I'd say they'll start moving down towards winter range. Remember, it's not even Nov, 1st yet, they still have 5-6 months of winter to survive, and they aren't stupid either. Good Luck, and stay WARM!!!!!!!!!!
