Bowhunting Woes with pics!

Okay, first off I've taken a serious stab and a lot of effort to kill a buck with my bow this year. (1st serious year of doing so)

I must say it's tough, I really admire the guys/gals you can kill a big buck with a bow.

I've had several opportunities and simply haven't sealed the deal.

So I do have a few questions for the bow hunters out there to help me for next year. (I'm done this year)

First off some pics of one of the bucks I've been after...

Any guesses on the score??

Bit embarrassed to say but I had him broadside at 57 yards, shot and my bow hit a limb or something happened...kinda strange as my arrow dove way left and low...weird but needless to say it wasn't close and I'm not that BAD of a shot. :)

So I blew my chance on him, should have had him.

He is a 4x4 with a small cheater off his back left side.

Man Brett, that is one beautiful buck! I love his fronts...very deep.

I feel for ya my friend. I guess it just takes patience and that "never quit" attitude. Although I am not a bowhunter I can certainly appreciate how tough bow hunting is. One of these days it will all come together for ya and next thing you know you'll be right there with BOHNTR (Well, my expectations for ya may be a LITTLE high...LOL). You'll put it together one of these days though, I'm sure of it!

As for the score, I would venture that he's around 165-170 or so. Of course, I am not the greatest at these scoring contests.

Great looking buck. To bad you weren't able to seal the deal. As for score I have no clue. Big enough I'd say.

Well, I've measured a LOT of them that size over the years. Good mainbeams, good G4's.....he'll net in the mid-160's......I think. :)

Keep after them Brett, you're going to score....I can feel it.

Thanks guys, I'll have to try with the Muzzle Loader if so and it may be real tough with the area he is in and out of. Mostly "out of" is the issue.

Archery ends this Friday and I'm in school everyday.

Guess I need to BUY a Muzzle Loader quick. :)

Brett, I think I've figured out your problem with bow hunting. You're using the wrong sight! Mount your camera on your bow and you'll have no problems. Great pics of a great buck!
