If you are starting out as a bow hunter start out with what you can afford. They all will get the job done with practice.

I personally shoot a Mathews Switchback. It shoots like a dream. But before I bought it I used a PSE . If money is not a issue go shoot them all. Buy the one that feels the best for you.

Good luck and let us know.

It doesn't really matter what brand you get these days they will all kill something. The key is getting the one that feels the best to you. If it doesn't feel right in your hands your not gonna shoot as well. Get a bow that feels the most comfortable. The last bow that i purchased i went to almost all the archery shops in utah and shot every brand to see what i liked. Do your research and ask questions. Archerytalk.com is a great website to learn about bows. Good luck

Just go to a shop and shoot everything they have in your price range. If they are any kind of descent bow shop they will allow it and help you out. You gotta get what feels right to you. Nobody can tell you what is comfortable for you so it's kinda a solo mission when selecting. I just got a Reflex Growler and I love it. It's smoothe and quick and that's what I go for in a bow. I consider it an upgrade from my Martin Cougar but it is a great bow also. I killed my mulie with it this year. Only reason I got them is because they were comfortable to me. Good luck with your search and let us know what you end up with.
