Bowtech or Diamond?

Right now, I am in the process of choosing a new bow, and am trying to decide between the Diamond Outlaw and the Bowtech Assassin. I have shot both, and they both shoot about the same. The only I am not so sure about is the single cam on the Outlaw. My last bow was binary cam, and I feel more comfortable shooting a binary cam. The Bowtech is around $100 more than the Diamond. What do you guys think, Bowtech or Diamond?

I'd choose the Bowtech. But don't let the single cam scare you. I've shot Mathews bows for four years and recently picked up a Bi-cam Strother SX1. I think the Assasin is single cam though. But don't worry about it.

The Assasin is a binary cam system......

I love my assassin. The RAK package isn't the greatest but you can upgrade that overtime (i'd start with the rest). For a guy on a budget, it's hard to beat the assassin.

I shoot a Diamond The Rock which I think was replaced by the Outlaw. I love my Diamond and since switching my rest to the QAD UltraRest HDX it's even better! It is a quality bow, in every aspect, right down to the strings. Compare it's quality of build and finish to bows that are far more expensive and it looks every bit as good. The difference between Diamond and Bowtech is single cam vs dual cams. I read that single cam bows are easier to tune...which ever you decide upon, I'm sure they're both great bows.

I was in the same boat as you were two weeks ago, and ended up buying the Diamond Fugitive. My local bow shop had one Fugitive and I was able to get it for the same price as the Outlaw. Pretty much the exact same bow with super minor differences. (brace height .5" different, 7 FPS faster, and draw length) I love it so far. I upgraded the sights and was still under the price of the Assassin. The Outlaw and Assasin both come with the exact same sights (APEX 4 pin) and rest (Octane Hostage) in the RAK package. Again only minor differences in the specs on the Outlaw and Assassin. Big difference is the single cam vs binary. But personally I figured they are both great bows, but by buying the Diamond I was able to spend the difference in cost on upgrading my Fugitive. Some people will tell you binary is the only bow to get.......I shot both and could tell a little bit of a difference but not enough to make me pick the Bowtech. Same company makes both bows so you are getting a quality product either way. Just my 2 cents.

My brother just got the diamond outlaw and it is pretty badass. I was looking at bows also and it seemed like most the bowtechs had a short brace height. The brace height of the diamonds looked more appealing for a hunting bow to me.
