Broadheads

What kind of Broadheads do you shoot? And does any body use the N.A.P hellrazors?

Well, I tried the Rage two blade this year and was very very pleased. They left an incredible wound channel I have not witnessed with the many other broadheads I have used. I will need to use it a lot more before I am ready to crown them my broadhead champs though. Hellrazors are not one I have tried.

I started out shooting Innerloc but have gone to Magnus Stinger and Buzzcuts. I also have some Wac'ems that I am going to try. The nice thing about Magnus heads is that they have a 100% money back guarantee.....even if it's your fault. Send them in and you will get new heads back within the week. That's great customer service if you ask me. =D>

Muzzy 100 3 blade. I've been using Muzzy's for 15 years. There is absolutely no reason for me to go broadhead shopping. Ed F

I've been doing a lot of experimenting over the past couple years and I've convinced myself that it isn't the broadhead, but the broadhead in combination with the shaft and the bow. It's always a custom set up. That said, and admitting a strong bias against mechanicals...

Wac'em #1
Muzzy #2 (I like the MX4)

Muzzy 3 blade 100gr. If you check out broadheadtests.com you'll see some very interesting testing. You will also notice that his "standard for setting up testing perimeters" is the muzzy....

Does anybody use any of the magnus broadheads... I have been thinking of switching from Montec. Plus, what do they mean by the lifetime guarantee?

SNUFFERS are Magnus

All Magnus BH are awesome.

If you are wanting to switch over and want to not have to sharpen and balance like I do the Snuffers, try the Snuffer SS. YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!!

I have used Muzzy 125 grain 3 blade and Wac ems and I have been thoroughly impressed with both of them.

yeah a muzzy 3-blade 100gr works for me, plows right through the shoulder bone on a whitetail.

shuttle T locks, Love em, for a fixed blade they are easy to tune, fast and shoot almost exactly like my field tips, 40yard track jobs are the only way to go, Im a little color blind and cant see blood to well so its a plus when they fall in sight, Switched from thunder heads two years ago but dont have anything bad to say about thunder heads either, I think with new manufacturing techniques its alot easier to find a #1 broad heads that shoot like your #2 broad head.

Check out these new broadheads that will be coming out from a company here in Utah, EPEK.

I think they are on to something with this design. With the blades completely concealed they should truly fly like a field point. Can't wait to try them out myself. Rumor has it that they will be out before the hunts start this fall.

Johny Utah, great movie, one of my favorites. Yup, the broadhead is on its way. We are making sure that it passes every test we can throw at it and it has been a fun adventure. They are accurate, they open huge, and now we are working on specific tolerances to insure they do what we say they will and be ready for MASS production. I will chime in from time to time and keep everyone informed. I have added an "update" link to our new and growing web sight

I use the Magnus Snuffers on just about everything, I mainly go after hogs & bear alot, they work real well, also experimenting with Spritfire 125 mechanicals on hogs.

they look cool but the only problem for me is they aren't legal in oregon and some other states. i've used mechanicle broadheads before and just haven't had the same results. they work but on a marginal shot they aren't going to help the situation out whereas a good cut-on-contact fixed broadhead will get the maximum[sp??] penetration and leave the best bloodtrail. and with some of the fixed heads they are coming out with now days, they are flying just like field tips are anyway.

I have been reading this and I decided to chime in... I am using Interloc heads and they are a dream to shoot. I tune every broad head precisely utilizing hot melt with the insert to move the head according to my chosen position, they are accurate and deadly. Try them, you won't be disappointed!

I shoot grim reapers and love them!!!! They fly true and do a great job making the animals easy to track. I have killed deer and coyotes with them and never have had to track more than 100 yards to find the animal. Gonna try them on Hogs in a couple of weeks!!!!!

I shoot the Magnus Stinger , I've always shot the 2 blade broadheads and love the flight of the stingers. Penetration is awesome with the stingers also, plus they have a replacable blade and you don't have to worry about resharpening them.
Only 70 days to Colorado's Archery season :thumb
