Buck Fight (Pics)

I got lucky to catch these two bucks going at it. Unfortantly the fight didn't last very long, with the buck on the right fleeing after he got body slammed on to his back. My camera was playing catch up and I didn't get a pic of the body slam. enjoy,

right before the throw down. His feet are out from under him!

Sweet pics! Way to go!

I saw a few fights this fall, but didn't get any on film.

One fight, the one buck got the others head turned and gave him the "body slam" and then smashed into a burned cedar tree and knocked it over! I wish I would've had my video camera rolling, but I didn't. Like you said, those fights happen really fast and are over even faster.

Great job and great pics!

thanks for the comments guys,

To answer bretts question, here is a picture of each of the two bucks in the fight. The 6x3 was the loser and the 4x3 was the winner.

Thanks for sharing. That is too cool to be able to capture the fight on camera. It's awesome to be able to be your own national geographic photographer. :thumb

how close do you have to be to get such awesome pictures?

Close, ideally within 50 yards. these bucks went at it about 20-25 yards from me. Sometimes if they are farther out you can crop the image for web viewing and still make it look good.

I don't know how you do it Jeremy but out there on J.R. and B.F. you seem to always be in the right place at the right time for some pretty awesome pics. Maybe ill get lucky one day and cut your truck tracks and just follow you around out there lol
