Most of you guessed it right, I'm a lot better now at judging and figuring out whether it's a buck or doe now than I used to be after watching several bucks alongside does that have just shed.
This buck has a bigger body, whited faced head, ears lay a bit different to me for the horns, etc. He just has the buck "look" to me like
you guys mentioned. I don't know how big, but don't think it is a really young buck either or it would be harder to distinguish.
Here are the pics when he turned his head I was snapping away as fast as I could.
Looks like a shed horn is laying in that bush in front of the buck. Sure looks like a tine to me. Did you notice that? Go take a look when you took the pic perhaps?

I never noticed that, it does look like a tine I agree. I'd be shocked if it actually is, but dad gum it kinda looks like it could be.
The buck didn't drop it during the picture, because he was bald when he walked in front of me. I'm going to have to hike back into that area and see now. lol
I looked and analyzed my original photo forever, it drove me nuts because it does looks like it could be a shed. lol
Bugged me so much, I drove back to the area tonight to try and see if I could find a shed. Could not find my exact location where I took the pic, but I knew I was close and very close. Hiked around for a while checking all green bushes in the area to no avail. :)
So it's either not a shed, or someone beat me to is what I determined. I sure was hoping to get lucky, would have been cool.
