Bugling Bull

This is the best trailcam pic I've ever got! There were two places an elk could wallow, where I had the trailcam placed and up the hill about 20ft. The bull came in and wallowed up the hill 20ft, then walked down and stopped in front of the trailcam and ripped off a bugle. He was probably bellering at the herd bull across the creek. Hope you enjoy it!

 Actually it's a high Cascade bull. The elk up in this area winter on the east slope.

Here's another bull from the same wallow last September, but I had the trailcam mounted below the wallow on the trail. Figures, I was over in Northeast Oregon helping call for a guy with a raffle elk tag when this bull showed up. Not sure, it could be the same bull as in 2006.
