bugling has begun...

I just got a call from a friend of mine that came down out of the NV high country to check in. The bugles have started. Nothing real hot yet, but a few sporadic bulls sounding off. The archery season opens Tuesday and he's already found a bull he wants to work on the opener. We're headed up the following Tuesday 9/1/09. My 15 yr old son has the bull tag this year.

havent heard any bugles yet but i have seen three groups of elk with bulls and cows, the bulls have been in the 4 point range, none of the big bulls have been moving in on the herds yet... guess the young bulls are trying to get a jump start....ive been watching numerous cow herds and have found nice bull tracks in the areas but just not in on them yet.
