CA Mule Deer (pics)

Here's a few photographs I took of some rutting mule deer over the Thanksgiving weekend. A couple really nice bucks for the Golden State.

How long that fight last, that's something I've yet to see and always hope to.

They actually got locked-up for about 20 minutes. Luckily they were able to untangle themselves before both expired. They were both exhausted and the big non-typical was bleeding from the mouth. It was a fight like I've never seen in the wild.

Those are some great pictures Roy. I would consider those great bucks just about anywhere. I've never seen two buck go at it except on video...I'll bet that gets the adrenaline flowing.

 No, much further South in the state......the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range between Lone Pine and Bishop.
