California Archery Hunting

Looks like i will be head to CA for work. I will be down around the Fresno area for three months starting in June. Does anyone have any good advice for where to try to get a blacktail in zone A. or any other information on CA including pig hunting. any info will help! Thank You

Don't know too much about A zone.....but have ventured into the B zones quite a bit chasing blacktails. Lots of good public land there with some quality wilderness areas.

I would love to hunt in the wilderness, but i have to be back in Idaho on September 1st. The B zones would not leave me much time to hunt. I am not really looking for a huge trophy, just a respectable buck that i can add to my deer collection. I figured the A zones would give me more time to hunt, but i heard it was hard to get permision to hunt on some of the land.
