caribou mount

i have a caribou head that i finally got permission to mount on my wall. the place that we chose does not have a stud behind it. what is the best way to mount it to the wall, drywall? i have always done it in a stud before but if there is not one there do i have any other options? i fear that if i cannot mount it there then it will have to go back in storage. please help.

Might not be the purtiest way but drive a nail or screw into the studs on either side of where you want to hang your mount and run some picture hanging wire between them. Then just hang your mount on the wire.

I used the drywall anchor to hang one of my mounts and it worked...for a little while.

I was out of town and called the wife after it was up there for a few months. She told me she was sitting on the couch when it came down and almost impelled her in the old noggin. Now, of course I was very concerned. I did the right thing, though, and asked if she was ok before asking how my mount was lol

Both my wife and the mount were no fine. Wives are easy to replace but them mounts can take a lifetime!

Just kidding, just kidding!!! :-$

make a nice plaque that is at least 25" wide, wide enough to hit 2 studs, screw it to the studs, and put a screw in the middle for the mount.
