It's a fake... It was filmed with cables and was orignally done for a commercial for a company they did not specify who. It was on the news since this has gotten so much attention from people wondering if it was real or not. But it was just a stunt for a commerical.

i was thinking the same. if you look at the hit, it's going to be a ground ball coming off the bat. and in any game if the ball is in foul territory it is live, so no ball girl is going to attemp to get in the way of a ball player if there is any chance to catch it.
