Christensen's Arms Buys Hunting Illustrated

Didn't see this one coming...
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Christensen Arms takes on new ownership of Hunting Illustrated
Fayette, UT- April 6, 2009 - The hunting industry’s premier custom rifle maker with their carbon barrels, Christensen Arms, has purchased Hunting Illustrated Magazine.
Known for cutting edge technology in the rifle industry, Christensen Arms is also home to their award winning Christensen Outdoors TV program currently on the Pursuit and Sportsman Channel. “Bringing on Hunting Illustrated Magazine as part of our company is a great fit and expands on what we do best here at Christensen Arms,” company president John Mogle relates.
Hunting Illustrated launched in 2001 and brought a unique format of editorial content combined with featured stories on the biggest bucks and bulls taken throughout the west. That format, along with its high standard of design and layout will continue with the magazine as it goes forward with its loyal followers and readers.
“We are excited about the future and the great combination we have with our TV show and now Hunting Illustrated to bring great hunting experiences and stories to our customers,” Mogle continues. “Hunting Illustrated will carry forward its high level of content that you will not be able to find anywhere else from the contributing writers and editors to the everyday hunter who has a once-in-a-lifetime story to tell.”
Staying on with the magazine is original editor David King and art director Jeff Bishop. These two positions are key to maintaining the high quality of the magazine as it expands and grows in the future. The first issue under this new ownership will be released May 26, 2009 and will be available on newsstands through Curtis Circulation Company.
