I didn't realize the results were out already, but after reading your post I just checked and I drew my first choice. I drew an archery tag for unit 511 and I can't wait to get out there. I get back from Afghanistan early next month and can't hardly wait to get my bow in my hands again and start scouting. I have been doing all the scouting I can via the internet so when I get home it will be time to get my feet on the ground. Sorry, just wanted to share the excitement after finding out I drew my tag! Thanks for the post and good luck to everybody!

Congrats guys on the tags......good times ahead for sure.

I drew a high-country archery mule deer tag as my second choice (1st choice was PP). I'll be backpacking solo up there this year for about a week chasing velvet clad muleys with my bow. Should be fun.

 Thanks, 9er! As expected, I didn't draw this year. I don't expect to get first choice on elk this year, either, but have about a 50-50 chance on second choice. Guess I need to keep my fingers crossed still.

I did not draw - again. But I'm at least up to 3 points so maybe I'll get something soon. I hope to snag a landowner voucer so I can go hunting again in Colorado. Should find out pretty soon. Good luck to all; hope it is a memorable and successful season.

Failed for deer, but I got the elk tag. I can get a land owner voucher for deer later on.

I drew a unit 444 archery tag as my 3rd choice; exploring options for my brother for '13 who is a NR with now 2 points. I'm taking a quick run over there this weekend for a dayhike to check out an area I haven't been in before.

I drew my archery tag the same way for deer and elk. How are you so successful? Do you go high and glass? Where are you hunting?
