Colorado Draw...

I finally drew for a muley in colorado. I used to live in Southern Colorado so I have quite a few resources to find them. My biggest question is how do you hunt them in October during rifle season??

I hunt whitetails and they are totally different animals.

thanks

Congrats on drawing the license. I'm pretty much a spot and stalk hunter. I always try to get to a high point (but undetected and off the skyline) and glass for at least an hour or more at and after daylight. Sometimes, I'll change locations and keep glassing all day. Same thing for the evening hunt, get up high and glass lots of country. During the day, if the country is open enough, I try to glass in shaded areas for bedded deer. If the country is right, I'll slip through some timber or try to sneak up on a buck in his bed. But I often stay out of bedding areas in mid day because most of the time, a person will just walk through and spook the deer. I have much better luck spotting a deer at daylight and slipping in on him. Good hunting.
