Colorado hunting requirements

Wondering if any of you could answer a question for me. Does Colorado require proof of hunter's safety course completion for out of state hunters or will a license from the previous year suffice (The license being from another state)?
A hunting buddy of mine here in California is heading out there this year and can't seem to get a straight answer on this.

They do depending on your age. If you were born before 1946 you don't need one.

this is from the web page for Colorado-

Things to Remember

If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you must have a hunter education card or certificate before applying or buying a license in Colorado.

every hunter needs one of these courses anyway-
does not cost that much and you can learn a lot about SAFETY
key word being safety

I believe that every state is going to this ruling!!!!

I would agree with the other postings and include that if you have a hunter safety certificate from another state that would also work. You will find it not help to have an old license from another state. There are a lot of exceptions, so here is the web page.

Most states have an on-line site where you can replace a lost hunter safety card, some will allow you to print a new one at no extra cost.
