My bow hunting partner, who also hunts with Bill, said it scored 230. I'll try to gather up the story of the hunt.

So far this what I've heard. Bill and a hunting partner spotted this buck a ways off and put a stalk on it. The wind was blowing right and he crawled to within 25 yards before taking the shot.

That's because I've been up on the mountain. I've been helping friends with their hunts, I just got back from a 10 day hunt, and I leave again to hunt for a week on Monday. Man I love this time of year!!

blah blah blah... it's a nice buck is you guys ever say! It's obviously a hellova buck. Let's come up with something a little more interesting. Has anyone noticed the pickup in the top right corner? What's the story with that?

 The truck appears to be green to me. My guess is that it belongs to the guy that shot the deer. It also has a camper shell on it. Apparently, the deer died pretty close to a road. Either that or the deer was dragged to the truck. Pure speculation on my part.

Or maybe the truck was photoshopped into the scene... now we're getting somewhere!

Now that's interseting, isn't it? Thanks for playing...

Hey Mark.. I took a close look at the truck and it does not appear to have been photo-shopped. I believe it to be genuine. :))

But really...even a little sarcasm, with myself at the brunt of it, is more interesting than 17 of the same one line posts. This is a pretty cool site and I just kinda hope it does well and more people visit, but with the way we post, it's just kinda, well, boring.

Anyway, wouldn't it be nice to take a buck like that with a road that close?? That never happens to me! But I wonder how it all went down. Most folks take pictures before going and getting the truck, especially a pro like Bill. Do you think by chance they seen him off the road? Wouldn't a guy at least gut the deer before heading for the truck? If so, what great luck! I threw the pic on photoshop and zoomed in on his hand. I'm not sure, but it looks like he's still wearing his release. ???

Oregon Eric, I don't know the whole story of the hunt but I believe it will be in Western Hunter Magazine in the near future. You are making many speculations about Bill and his buck. If I were Bill, I would be offended by your sarcasm and wouldn't appreciate you discrediting me and my great buck. Your sarcasm is why many people don't post their trophies and share their stories.

There is no sarcasm nor speculation directed at Bill. You read too far. Even if they were driving along and saw that buck, (which probably didn't happen, my guess is that it isn't even their truck) I don't think that there is anything wrong with getting out and trying to make something happen. I' m sure I would for a buck like that. I figure most everyone would.

Discredation? Not in the least.

There's only so much a guy can say about a nice buck. I'm not sure what it is that you want to read on a post like this! It's a nice buck and several members here posted their appreciation for what it is... a nice buck!

Enjoy the pics on this site for what they are and start your own thread about whatever else you want to talk about. If you do, I'm sure most members here will post a reply to it.
