Colorado Mule Deer #77,78,771

Hey guys I'm not that new to Mule Deer Hunting just new to doing it in Colorado. I applied last year and did not draw. I bought a land owner tag during the muzzle loading season and hunted hard for a week without seeing a deer on any public land. I did see a lot of elk. I drew the third season. With two points I put in for the third season i think it might have been a mistake. I believe I could have drawn the fourth. However my real question has anyone ever hunted these units? Is there any kind of tricks to make the trip more succesful. I have three horses and mule and plan on brining them . Any info would be helpful.

Btw I am from Texas. I have hunted Co Wyo and Tx. My biggest dear so far is a 153 4x4 I shot in Wyo.
