Obama intentionally did not mention gun control in his State of the Union, but aides say that in the next two weeks the administration will unveil a campaign to get Congress to toughen existing laws.

Why punish 90 million gun owners that broke no laws when the core of the problem was one "difficult person" that had five previous police contacts and was so feared by his school that it banned him from campus until he could prove that he was not a danger to anyone? Pal

History has shown in this country that any politician that has support gun control did not have a seat after the following election. I believe the mass majority of politicians realize this and will not support any kind of measure that will restrict any kind of gun rights, except those on the far left who elected from districts who believe in the far left.

That number seems to be dwindling for the betterment of the country, IMHO.
