Corn chips

i am sure most of you know but did you know that corn chips like fritos burn amazingly. perfect for a fire starter for damp or wet kindling they burn like a candle, a handful will burn for several minutes. just thought i would share that incase anyone did not know.

Yeah I didn't belive it when I was told that same thing so I had to try it out for myself.

It worked like a charm. I can't belive I still eat those things with all that oil in them but they are just to tasty to stop.

Nothing like getting double duty out of one of you items in you pack. :)

When I saw corn chips I thought "Oh no not for a snack in the pack pack" :-k

But yeah, I bet those things are mostly oil.

The non-dairy creamers for coffee (the powdered stuff) are extremely flammable as well... It acts like flash paper. So dont throw the last of it on the fire, or dump it over a lighter. :-k

Also I heard that lint from your dryer works great and light weight easy to pack

Yeah almost anything that is a fine powder will burn. We used to do it with sawdust in wood shop in school. We thought that it was pretty neat until we almost caught the celing on fire.

For the next week the teacher kept asking us what had caused the giant black mark on the ceiling but we weren't about to fess up to that one.

Nobody has accused me of being smart.

I had someone tell me one day that lays chips are the best way to start a fire. They are so oily they burn good and they leave no trace behind. Of course he was talking about arson, but then he was pretty weird and I dont believe half of what he said.
