Holy cow 9er, it's WAY late for that stuff!! ](*,)

They must have been fighting just cuz they didn't like each other or something.
The 2nd go around for estrus is usually only a few weeks after the first.
Mid october at the latest! (???)

Mother nature causes this for a reason. If the calves are born too late in the spring, their too small to make it through a rough winter.

But, i guess stranger things have happened!! :)

its usually the yearling cows that cycle 21 days after the prime rut which around here is 1st part of Oct.

i also though it was crazy, the thing is i spotted a bull across the canyon and watched him for 2-3 hrs, (i was after some deer on my side of the canyon) i was glassing for deer when i hear all this bashing going on, i look up towards the bull i had been watching and he and another were just going at it like no other, i never saw a cow the whole day, so maybe they were just feeling good!!!!

I have read and did some research and found out that the cows that didn't get bred the first go around they go into heat 31 days later!
