I was woundering if anyone had any cow elk archery advise for me. i am planning on hunting august

I'm surprised noone has responded. Get into country you know elk are in. Use a cow/calf call, but sparingly. Hunt the timber on the north slopes, seeps, springs etc. during the day. If you can scout and have some ideas of where they tend to feed and bed, you might set up for an ambush. Remember, you'll be dealing with several sets of eyes, noses, and ears. How 'bout some of you guys who really know this stuff?!

For cows i would just locate a heard then move with them and you might get lucky and have a loner walk by or get in the middle of them. just really pay attention to the wind.
