As I mentioned before my knife never got to touch elk this year, but just being in the woods was great. Here's my tally for critters seen while hunting
8 bull elk- all but one were legal, not monsters but legal
had "good" opportunites at five
15 cow elk- almost got a shot at one of these
lots of deer including some very nice bucks
30+ turkeys- can't wait till next spring
3 bears - the sow and cub was way too close for comfort
3 grey fox
6 coyotes - got to watch one screw up his own stalk on some birds
1 bobcat
half a dozen blue grouse
1 weasle that was very concerned when I set on his log
Can't wait to get back out there! =D>
