Anybody have any info they are willing to share on D12. Me and my buddy drew a tag down there and are looking for a starting point to look. Any info would be appreciated!

Leon Lasicka from brawley has been watering those deer for years now. Look him up maybe you can find some of their new guzzlers. Water is life here in the desert.

I used to live there (Blythe)......was in that desert a lot trying to arrow one of those giants. Check the desert washes West of the agricultural fields behind the town of Palo Verde towards Claps Spring........also Milpitas Wash, washes West of Mitchells & Walters Camp (Vinagre Wash), and Arrowweed Spring.

Spent alot of time in that country growing up. My family and friends have taken alot of deer out of some of those same places that Bohutr mentioned.

Those with the most success comes from long long hours of bone jarring jeeping up and down a million miles of dry washes. Although a lot of areas are off limits to gas power now days.

There is some agricultural and thick salt ceder along the river that hold deer but that herd has been hit real hard by poachers the last several years.

There is a place called the 'Pockets" that might be holding a buck or two this year with all the rain. Real cool place. Dozens of thick palo verdie and mesquite oaseses almost surrounded by giant sand dunes. You have to walk in there.

D 12 is a fun place to hunt, but can be a tuff place to harvest a deer.

Nothing like getting a shot at a "Desert Ghost" though.

Good luck
