Does anyone know where I can get a detailed map of this area, also is the only way onto this unit is from grand junction.

Use this link - u can get maps for western states by selecting the state and unit number. It will give u options for BLM, Forest service and National Geographic maps. Its the best site i have found for maps especially for selecting by area.
