We are going to give decoying a try in mid september.

i always set mine off to the side of me or even behind me if i can just to direct attention away from myself. they really do work good a have the montana decay, the broadside one, and had great succsess with it last year. i owned it for 2 yrs before i really tried it and after last year i will use it a ton more!

Anyone got any insight on these crazy ideas?

Gonna try decoying to cut the distance on some spot and stalk hunts this year. Think it would work to find some sort of antelope decoy and slowly ease closer to them? Another thing we were thinking is throwin over a black blanket and acting as a cow - i know that latter one sounds crazy but when wearing a black shirt one time i stalked until they spotted me, and then just sat there.. turned out the herd buck was VERY curious what i was and what i was doing as i was somewhat hidden behind a rock, but still he could see me every now and then.. He kept walking closer and closer to about 75 yds. then he or i think it might have been a doe spooked.

anyways, any ideas on decoys to use when spot and stalking?

I seen on tv some guys were using the decoys that attatch the bow and you shoot through they are thick er than paper but probally by not much kind of a neat idea though
