Diamond Deadeye (dead in the water)

Anyone else shooting the Diamond Deadeye? I did. I bought it July the 20th. Six cables later I am wondering if there is something a matter with it. Lol. Less than satisfied with the way Diamond-BowTech handled the situation. "We don't care if you are leaving for two elk hunts next week, and there are no left hand bows in central Texas we will allow the dealer to return you money". About my tags/Hunts sir? "Sorry son, you are only one customer". Didn't seem to matter that the hunts are costing me 4500.00 to them. Maybe Wyoming and New Mexico will understand when I tell them I had to use a rifle because my bow company left me high and dry.....Anyone else heard of this problem or want to buy a slightly used 70# LH Deadeye with an appetite for winners choice?

I had a limb split on my PSE one year just a few days before the hunt. Went in to see if they could get it fixed and found that it would take three weeks to get a new set of limbs in the right poundage. They offered to overnight a set of limbs that were a step lower in poundage so that I could get my bow going in time for the hunt but I fell in love with a new bow and bought it instead. They still got the limbs that I needed to fix my original as fast as they could and did all of the repairs for free.

There is alot to be said about a company that stands behind their products even when my bow was four years old. They didn't bat an eye at doing everything in their power to help me out.

Bowtech has less than a good rep when it comes to customer service.

I had a Mathews limb split back in 2003, right before the season. It happened on Sunday, I had new limbs on Tuesday. I killed my first deer with a bow on the following Sunday.

I have a Bowtech Allegiance that had a cracked limb. I was not the original owner and they sent me new 70 lb limbs at no cost.

I know this a few years later, but I bought a Diamond Dead eye new old stock a couple of months ago. I put an Octane double drop tine rest on it, as I was timing the rest and after shooting about 30 arrows the cam collapsed and the string came off I was shooting thirty yards and was not torquing the bow and had it knocked, that's what both dealers claimed I did. After having my bow repaired, and the dealer saying that Bowtech and them determined I derailed my bow and costing me $200.00 it is being shipped back to me. I sent an E-mail to Bowtech asking why they won't stand behind their products, I received a message saying they were sorry but can't help me. I will never buy another Bowtech product or recommend them! I bought this bow because it was a what I thought a good bow at a good price. Beware do not buy any Bowtech product.

Usually the only way any cam will derail when either drawing or letting down is from hand torque. Most bow companies will not cover this, as it's viewed as operator error. It's too bad, as some cams are much more prone to derailment issues based on the depth of the cam groove.

I was shooting a Scott release, when the bow derailed and went south. A friend of mine dry fired his Mathews bow, and took it to the local dealer explained what happened, Mathews replaced his limbs, cams, strings,and cables. That's the way a company should stand behind their products. Well good luck this hunting season!
