dissapointing Manti La Sal hunt

Hunted on North Slyline dr. by gooseberry lake in the Manti la Sal range. Was there first day of the hunt until the next Thurs. Had a great time with my best friend, but what a horrible hunt!! There is a sheep herder up there who is supposed to let his sheep graze one canyon at a time, but no, not this year..the sheep were every where we tried to hunt..we saw deer most of all, but of course we didn't have buck tags because they sold out so fast, and we came across a couple herd of elk, but not able to close the distance enough to pull back..I hate sheep.

Sorry to hear about the sheep, I've had the same problem with cattle.

Yeah, it sucked, but It was still better than anything else being out there with my friend and putting our boots to the ground and trying! Can't wait until the next hunt!

 Now that's the way to look at it! Any hunt, especially with friends or family, is better than no hunt at all. Good luck on the next hunt!
