I drew a non resident general tag for Central. Now I have to figure out where to go.(Nice problem to have) Now, if I can just draw a Muzzleloader Nevada Tag, that will make it nice to go Arizona Archery. Never done 3 Mule Deer hunts in one season. I'm just greatful to be going. I guess I need to dust off the 300 RUM. It's been a while since I've hunted with that.

Well I got my point for elk and drew successful for deer! :thumb I'm still waiting to hear what my Dad's email says. Two of my buddies who are in the corps with me drew out for out of state deer tags too! :thumb I can't wait to get these eaterners out for some real deer hunting!

I drew my mule deer tag in the West Desert. Have been trying for a long time and finally got it. This are used to be really good but don't know much about it. Anyone have any information on the West Desert mule deer hunt.

Since I'm a southerner and haven't ever hunted Utah I have a stupid question. Why is it so hard for natives to get drawn? It's your home state for goodness sake. Maybe one of you knows how the draw preferences work for resident vs non-resident. I just think it's a shame that all residents don't get to hunt their home state. I would love to hunt there someday but, it's Colorado and Wyoming for now. PS I hope I get my antelope tag for Wyoming this year!

I guess your email wasn't dreaded. You should stick around on the site. Post updates about your scouting and hunting experiences on the Henrys. A guy from our deer camp drew there a couple years ago. He kept getting busted by nice a 36" buck he was going after. He "settled" for a 202" 32" buck the last day of the hunt. Good luck to you.

What a bummer. I was unsuccessful for everything. I will have to wait and see if I could get a cow tag. I guess I cant complain too much. In 07 I got drawn for Southern Deer and cow elk. In 08, I got drawn for LE Bull and cow both in Fishlake/Thousand Lakes. I was getting used to being able to go to Utah twice a year. May just have to take the family on a vacation to do some fishing/coyote hunting this year. I would love to go back up during the rut. Anybody know when we will be able to find out which tags are left over? Maybe I can get an archery deer tag.

I have finally drawn the henrys any weapon hunt, im worse than a little kid at christmas, anyone with good advice would be greatly appreciated

For sure! Congrats. How many points did you have?

I will post scouting and hunt updates for sure. I would LOVE to settle for a 202. :) I'm really hoping for a non-typical. They are my favorite and I've never really hunted in an area with a higher ratio of them.

You guys are going to want to kick my butt. I had 4 points and this is the first time I put in for the Henry Mtns. I drew out over ten years ago for a place in northern Utah and was just building my points up after my waiting period. I have WAY more moose points and never expected to hit on this one.

Who is "Ready"? I could use all the help I can get. I can hunt hard and shoot well enough; I just need to know where to start. And where they will be in mid Oct. :)

I talked to a guy at sportsmans today that hunted the henrys last year, he said he mainly hunted around mount ellen and was after a few real big fellas but said no one ended up gettin them and i was down there last november lookin during the rut and spotted a few good ones but im sure they werent around there normal hideout. If anyone wants to discuss a little more hit me up. PS if anyone knows anything about the desert erea down there or mt pennell or hillars i would much appreciate any info [-o<

Zero success here also on the Limited Entries... Hopefully Colorado will come thru so I can do a late season hunt!! But highly doubtful!!

Got my Southern tag. Feels good after missing out last year. Will be in the Buckskin Valley area and Cottonwood mountain. Lots of road hunters, but some good places to hike out and get alone. Anyone else going to be in that area?
