DREW Idaho super tag

New to the forum want to say hello to all. Drew a super tag for elk was wondering if anybody any info on good units or areas. Was looking at 40 and 54 maybe 66a open to any suggestions

If not not a member of the http://www.huntinfool.com you could try joining and start picking their brains for info also if your a member they will give you list of hunters who have hunted the units in the past you are interested in usually this is good ompf but it depends on you get tp talk with.

Holy crap!! Congrats on the tag my friend. I know unit 40 is a great place to start. Very vast a open country with lots of scattered elk herds. Most elk will be on private ground this time of year. I believe they moved the season back a bit. Anyway, don't over look unit 45,44, even up around riggins, unit 18, 19. Good luck I hope you have some pic for us here soon!! :not-worthy

I can hunt any area (limited or general) and any season just have to follow the specific rules for each unit

id stear ya towars unit 44,45. big dogs on the desert of 45. just as big in 44 just have to look in 44 due to a lot of private land. the boy and i drew deer tags for 54, good area for both kinds of game just beter genetics further north. best of luck to ya, rick.
