Drought Tolerant Crops

Does anyone know of a good drought tolerant crop that would survive in Southern Utah Beryl area???? I have pictures of Elk coming into my property so I would like to plant a crop for them. No water as of now so we have to count on the rain to do the watering or the bi-weekly watering we can do when we are there.

where about in beryl are ya that you have elk coming down.?
the best thing to do is look at some of the native grasses around and find some seeds from that.we planted a grass mixture up north of beryl in our summer range and the grass grows great its just a varitey of different dryland type grass with some of the natives
i know up ion hte hills in a litle higher altitude there is crested wheat grass not sure if you can buy it or not .
lets see the pics of the elk cmon dont hold out now

Thank you very much for your replay. The pictures of the Elk are from last month on a scout camera so we are having the pics transfered to disc. Coming soon. They are just showing antler growth.

The pics taken 4-11-07 show the Elk just starting to grow their antlers. They look like they are healthy. I will post more as they come in.
