Duck photo attempt.

Muleymadness and coopersdesign have inpired me to try getting photos of ducks. Definatly not an easy thing to do. Today was not the best light condtions with all the smog. But it was fun shooting ducks with a camera. There are also some other pics for you to enjoy.

So how do you guys take and get the background to be all blurred but have the duck in focus. I think my problem was that the ducks wer so far away that the camera had two much to focus on. Or is there a setting I need to change. I had the iso at 1600 and the 1/3200 on most of the shots.

wow where abouts you seeing all these pintails?? we dont get that many where im from those are very pretty birds i think and it appears you have a lot of them!

this is just a city pond, the only time the pins and other ducks show up is when the ice forms over every thing else. I wish i could see them during the hunt, but i only shot one this last season.
