Early Season Scouting

I know its a little late this year, but since I won't be able to get out to deer hunt anymore this year I am already prepping for next year to increase my odds. I have been reading that early season bucks in velvet will pattern. I haven't found many articles that cover this and was just curious if any of you guys can attest to this. Thanks
