Elk report from the Manastash

My uncle and a friend started setting up our Camp yesterday near Gnat Flats and there was about 8" of fresh snow. Tracks and "pink leamonade" all over the place, so might be good for the opener this weekend.

Unfortunately I have to work this week so everyone else is still up hunting. But I'll be back on Friday to try for my Spike. I had a nice 6x6 20 yards from me on sunday morning, but I didn't get drawn so spikes only for me. Opening morning of of the guys in our camp had 5 cows nearly run him over, almost had to shoot them out of self preservation, lol. He has a cow tag but they're not legal until Wednesday. Another friend drew a cow tag as well so hopefully they should both fill their tags. Spikes seem scarse this year so we'll see. Can't get one of I don't try.
