Ever worry about squirrels getting into your bird feeder?

Check this bear out. I thought it was fake at first, but maybe it's real who know these days. Anyway cool pictures.

From what I can find, these were taken outside of Connellsville, PA.

I'll have to say that I DON'T think they are photoshop jobs.

I checked them out and I cannot find anything that would lead me to believe that they are.

If they are, they sure did a great job. Anyone can cut out 1 still picture of an animal and paste it into another pic, but to do it in a sequence of pics is something else. Not only that, you would have to find pics with the bear in all these posses to cut out and paste, the positions of the rope sure looks great and if you blow them up you can see where the bear's paws are wrapped around the rope and where he's got his mouth wrapped around it. If you look at the photoshop of the moose in the harness you can see that the lines around the moose are smooth...no hair sticking out. If you look closely at the bear you can even see the hair standing up along all edges.

I'll go out on a limb and say they are legit....but I've been wrong before.

I will say one more thing, I've seen a great number of pics of bears raiding bird feeders, squirrel feeders, etc so this is no stretch as far as the premise behind the pics go.

New Hamshire Fish and game even posted an article about keeping bears away from your bird feeders:

Great pics but I'm still a bit skeptical. How can that rope support the weight of that bear? Let's just say I'm getting more skeptical the older I get :))

Thats a pretty strong rope there to hold up that bear it must have a metel strand rope or something cause that is a really thin rope. thats my only debut

I have parachute cord that has a tensile strength of 200 pounds and it is a lot smaller than that so I think it is possible that the rope could hold him. Judging by the pictures I wouldn't guess that bear is over 250 lbs.
