Falcon Munchin on Rabbitt

well 'the boys' from my fam were down at our cabin by fish lake back in October of '04 and decided to run on down to capitol reef one day. we're rounding a curve in the road and crazy ole pops slams on the breaks all excited about somethin hed seen. when I finally saw what caused all the commotion i immediately threw the camera (which i always keep on my lap) to an on switch. I've always felt that sharing photos on the internet was soo braggy and always tried not to (that and i didnt know how, lol) but lately ive decided you're all good people and on this forum only ill share some of my lucky adventures ive been on.

I have to say, I was VERY impressed at how protective this 'tough ole bird' (pun intended :thumb ) was of his kill. After snapping a photo or two we decided we'd see how close we could get before he let us have his breakfast, we inched the truck closer and closer and he never even flinched - eyes locked right on us without a fear in the world.. we were within 20 feet at one time if i do remember correctly, he began seeming a little nervous then and took a hop back.. so we drove on and left him in peace, it was quite a sight though to whatch him tear at this rabbit with his beak and tongue! Something i'll never forget, htats for sure! enjoy.

Hope nobody thinks anyone shares there pics for 'glory' or to brag. Certainly not why I share mine.

Thanks again for some fantastic photos and keeping that camera close by.
