Far Off Elk Pictures.

Here are some pictures that I took from the house when I was looking up onto the winter grounds.

Sorry about the picture quality they were taken through my new Vortex spotting scope and the elk are just over a mile away but I thought that they were pretty neat. Still love that spoting scope. :thumb

The bad part is that today I was watching them and then they get up and take off. After a couple of minutes here comes a couple of jerks hiking right up through where the elk were bedded. Sure do wish that they would leave the animals alone. Beiing chased around is the last thing that they need right now.

I have the Vortex Skyline spotting scope. It's been a great scope and it was worth every penny. The pictures don't do the scope justice. Some of the blurring is heat waves but all in all it's clear enough that even at this distance you can see points that are just a couple inches long.

A mile away, dang now that is not disturbing the ELK. :))

Any Elk photos is a good photo IMO. Thanks
