Fat Man Contest

Okay so Bigbuck came up with the Idea of a fatman/woman (since we have a few ladies here) contest to see who can loose the lbs before the hunts start. Sign up here if you want in. This is just for Braggin rights.

My starting number is 6'-4" and 229 lbs.

The tale of the tape and scale reads 5'9 1/2" and 185lbs. I only WISH I weighed this much in highschool playing football! I'm in pretty good shape but could probably stand to lose a few pounds as I'm not quite in the shape I was in highschool.

I'm with killer! I'm 5'9" 160lbs but I will do the push ups and sit ups before I log in now. you can't ever be too good of shape! :thumb

Alright, 5'7.. 190lbs. I wanna drop around 20lbs or more by October.. hunting season. Better lay off the soda. Which is better to drink? Starbucks or Soda? I'm like a caffine junky.. I've gotta wean myself off of it. No cold turkey. lol

Funny, you Marine Corps guys stay in shape even after your done with your duty. Maybe I should join the Marines. (???) They're a tough group.

5' 11" and about 195. I would like to be at about 175-180. Anyone have a good stomach virus you could send me for a quick 10 pound head start. They seem to help me drop 10 quick ones. No pun intended. :))

I think out door types, especially hunters have an advantage over most people. We know that much of the adventure and success of our sport is dependent on how physically fit we are. And even more important as we get older. I'll be 59 by the time I hit the prairies peaks and badlands this Fall.
On top of my other activities I do a 5 mile hike daily, on trails in my woods and pastures. Instead of driving or 4 wheeling to check cattle and fences I walk rain or shine. +90 or -30.
Still works for me. I plan on getting far off the beaten track, and away from most hunters.
It wouldn't hurt me to lose a few pounds, I'm 6' 2" and stay right around 200.

I'm 6'1" and weighed 187 yesterday. But I am older and struggle to stay in shape. I'd still like to lose another 10 pounds or so. I run about 3-4 miles 3-4 times per week year round. But it is a constant struggle. Good luck to all, hope you make your goals and take some monster bucks this fall.

I weigh 175 lbs at 5' 11". I ve been that way for right at 28 years now. I lost 125 lbs in the space of 3 months. I dont recommend the method I used though as it cost me a lot of money. Divorce always does. lol

I just found this post this morning, not sure how I missed it. Im always a day late and dollar short.. I want in if it’s not too late!
No, im not ashamed to post my stats especially being a woman but I don’t think im the average girly girl either.. So im thinking this will give me a little bit more ambition to get into shape before my fall monster rag horn hunt starts..
I have a lovely office job which doesn’t help the situation but Ive been hiking around 5 miles every other day checking game cams and scouting.. Looks like I need to do a lot more . Good luck guys and gals. Im 5’6 and this morning was 143.5 Yikes

5 lbs down here. Not loosing the wait very fast but man I have started to tone up a bit. This P90X is an arse kicker, but I have been doing in consistantly every morning for 5 weeks now.

DeadI
Well I am now done almost 10 pounds. Have not lost a ton of weight but I have gained some muscle. My wife and I have now being doing the P90X exercise program for 2 months and have definatly toned up a bit. Hopefully it helps with the hiking this year as well.

Update: Ive shed about 15lbs so far. down to 170 now, it sure has been easier to hike the hills lookin for elk without that "spare tire" wrapped around my stomach!

I wish i had seen this sooner i am 6'5 240 and need to lose at LEAST 20 lbs . ](*,) Getting pneumonia last winter did me in and my lungs still don't seem right . I was in great shape !!! ](*,)

I too wish I had seen this - any extra motivation to cut a few pounds and get in better shape is good.

DeadI - I've been thinking of the PX90 program and heard it's ultra tough. Is that the case? How much time do you dedicate to it each day? Would you say that weight loss is a by product of the effort to tone up and build muscle?
19
DeadI
I have pretty much stayed the same. Which is not the ideal situation but at least I'm not gaining. Keep at it everyone.

Let me introduce myself. I live in Kalispell, Mt and had gotten myself up to 241 pounds from when I got injured on the job back in Jan 2008. This last year I started my program of loosing weight in March of this year.

This is what I keep track of my weight loss with, and as you can see to date I have lost 42 pounds and am now at 199 pounds. I had set my target weight goal for 195 pounds. You can do it, just change the way you eat and burn them calories off.
